1 finally done with the introduction to the republic. god damn, waterfield. feel like i've been thoroughly inducted. we'll see.
2 finished maoyu (one of the mangas) too! decent read, though i'm not sure how to feel about the ending. it has some interesting ideas though. i might try log horizon again, but i suspect it suffers from the things i don't like more, and the things i appreciated in maoyu might not show up in log horizon at all. let's see.
3 just think young merchant is the best. everything else was a sideplot, including the imminent end of the world. that's why overall it was still a pleasant read.

5 having been told that the republic is a purely political treatise, wonder if any political science student actually reads the works foundational to their field. of course, plato is practically omnipresent. don't blame them though. suppose i've not read the original papers on conditioning. or at least, i don't remember them anymore. i'd like to think i know what they're about, but i've no proof.
6 thinking of starting the brothers karamazov. or dracula. or moby dick. decisions, decisions. then heretical last boss, returning to tearmoon, altina, der werwolf, spice and wolf, etc...
7 not sure what i think of the cover of nghi vo's new book, the scarlet ball. will still read it eventually.
